About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced and motivated Mechanical & Electrical Technical Advisory Consultant.  You will play a pivotal role in delivering expert guidance and support to our major investor, asset manager, and developer clients. Your extensive knowledge in Building Services, Technical Due Diligence, and building standards will be essential in ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and design guidance.

Key Responsibilties
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of technical advice and solutions into our clients’ projects.
  • Deliver our services, as a technical subject matter expert in Building Services, leveraging your extensive onsite experience to provide valuable guidance and support to our major investor, asset manager, and developer clients.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability understanding of Mechanical and Electrical design principles and apply this knowledge to evaluate and enhance the safety of properties within the Real Estate sector.
  • Conduct comprehensive technical due diligence activities, including desktop reviews and peer reviews of relevant information, to ensure compliance with the Second Schedule to the Building Regulations, Technical Guidance Documents (TGD), general best practices, and client requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations to effectively communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of applicable legislation and design guidance related to Architecture including a deep understanding of the Building Regulations.
  • Carry out site inspections and produce site inspection reports highlighting non-compliances and key-findings.
  • Note whilst both Mechanical and Electrical Design experience is preferable it is not mandatory to have experience in both disciplines for the role. Mechanical or Electrical design experience is acceptable.

Requirements
  • Bachelors (Level 8) Degree in Building Services/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or related. Additional certifications and accreditations are highly desirable.
  • Chartered Engineer Status.
  • 8+ years’ experience within industry.
  • Possess strong and proven expertise across a variety of projects, preferably within the Residential Sector including medium and large scale residential housing, multi-unit and mixed use developments..
  • Self-motivated, organised and reliable along with a professional approach and demeanour.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and coordination skills with the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Possess exceptional technical ability with detailed knowledge of the Irish building regulations.

Salary

€70,000 – €80,000 DOE
