Scope & Challenges
Newmarket Yards represents a significant redevelopment effort in the historic Newmarket Square area of Dublin’s Liberties, aimed at addressing the high demand for accommodation in Dublin’s thriving private rented sector. The development consists of:
- 413 new apartments, comprising a mix of studio, one, two, and three-bedroom apartments.
- A 151-bedroom Premier Inn Hotel, complete with a bar, restaurant, café, and public areas.
- An underground car park for the apartment complex, rooftop terraces, an in-house gym, and concierge service.
Catalyst was tasked with the critical role of Assigned Certifier during the construction stage. In this capacity, our responsibilities included:
- Regular and thorough inspections to ensure adherence to building standards.
- Identifying and addressing defects or incomplete work before project handover.
- Ensuring full compliance with BCAR throughout the construction process.
- Working closely with the builder and design team to uphold the highest standards of safety and quality.
