Civil and Structural Site Inspector

Catalyst, a reputable independent provider of technical advisory services to the real estate sector, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Inspector to join our UK team. As a Site Inspector, you will play a pivotal role in delivering expert guidance and support to our major investor, asset manager, and developer clients. Your extensive knowledge of civil and structural engineering and building regulations will be essential in ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and design guidance.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of civil and structural engineering construction methods.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections throughout the UK.
  • Review and assess the adequacy and effectiveness of installation and remediation works carried out on-site, ensuring compliance with building regulations.
  • Identify potential site defects and issues.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of applicable legislation.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed technical reports.

 

Mandatory Requirements/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Additional certifications and accreditations are highly desirable.
  • At least 5 years of site-based construction experience.
  • Demonstrated ability and proven track record of service delivery in the above.
  • Strong project management abilities, including the capacity to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects concurrently, and meet deadlines.

Salary

£70,000 (DOE)
